Description :

This impressing gorge is in the wester part of the Akamas peninsula park, about 20 km from Paphos and can be accessed through the dirt coastal road from Ayios Georgios tis Pegeias to Lara. The trail is linear, 2.5 km long and has signs naming indicating some of the plant species in the gorge. The gorge is 2 km long, with steep rocks in both side going up 80 meters. At its narrowest point it is just 3 meters wide. You will hear and see various bird species and probably meet goats and other tourists. The walk is not very tiring, but caution is required as the flowing water makes the many rocks in the gorge, quite slippery.
