It is about 15 km from Platres and within 4 km from the villages of Arminou, Filousa and Ayios Nikolaos. It was built in 1998 on the river Diarizos at an altitude of about 300 meters and has capacity of 4.3 million cubic meters. Very close to the Kelephos bridge and Pera Vasa picnic area. Fish in the lake include Carp, Mosquito fish, Roach, Silver bream and Brown trout. The villages in the vicinity are well preserved and have stone built houses.
