This is a rather out of place pool that is a leftover from mining in the area. It is about 20 km from Nicosia, and can be accessed on a dirt road of the asphalt road from Agrokipia village past Mitsero village, on the left side of the road. The minerals turn the lake colour red and we have been told that the water kills birds that dive for a drink. Maybe this is a monument of man’s adverse effect on nature. Very interesting also for photo safaris.
